Daman-Diu
Daman-Diu Travel Information
By Rail - Vapi station, 12 kms away, is the nearest railhead to Daman. All
trains, except the superfast ones, stop here. The closest railhead to Diu is
Delwada (8 km) on the metre gauge line which runs across Saurashtra. However,
Una, one stop before Delwada, is more convenient in terms of frequency of buses
and availability of auto rickshaws.
By Road - Daman is connected, via Vapi, to the rest of the country by
the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway No. 8. Diu is well connected to most of
the major cities in Gujarat by regular, semi-luxury and luxury buses. There
are also a number of luxury buses plying between Mumbai and Diu.
